Your money lives in real bank accounts — always
Project funds are held in dedicated escrow accounts within Trusavo's system, kept exclusively at regulated, FDIC-insured US banks — never in non-bank accounts. Funds release only on verified milestones.
Independent third-party oversight
An independent escrow oversight firm supervises and audits the escrow portfolio at large — so the safety of your money never rests on taking our word for it.
A ledger both parties can see
Every deposit, hold, release, and refund is recorded on an append-only, double-entry ledger. Homeowner and contractor see the same numbers at the same time, always.
Bank-level encryption
All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest. Bank connections run through Plaid — we never see or store your banking credentials.
Verified people, not just profiles
Contractors pass license verification and background checks before they can bid. Inspectors are credentialed and independent. Identity verification protects every account.
Two-factor authentication
Accounts support 2FA via SMS and authenticator apps, with phone and email verification at signup.
Full audit trail
Every money movement and administrative action is logged and reviewable. If something ever needs investigating, the history is complete and immutable.
